The Bellagio hotel delivers spectacular performances of its fountains with dramatic combinations of water, light and music.
Shows run every 15 or 30 minutes, depending on the time of year. The spectacular nature of these displays means its impossible to just walk past. They have to be experienced and enjoyed.
Sychronized to a variety of music, the Bellagio Fountains come to life with every note. Each song - such as "Fly Me To The Moon" or "One Singular Sensation" - produces a different display.
The fountains erupt from a lake one quarter of a mile wide that is situated in front of the Bellagio hotel. Shows last for between 5 and 10 minutes but bad weather can hinder performances.
1, 200 nozzles shoot water into the air and 4, 500 light illuminate the display. At a cost of $40 million, this is probably the most expensivively produced water and light show you'll ever get to see!
The Silver and Small Screens have made the Bellagio Fountains famous. They frequenntly appear in the CSI television series and prominently featured in the recent remake of "Oceans's Eleven" with George Clooney.
Professionally orchestrated by people such as Kenny Ortega (Dirty Dancing) and Gerald Schurmann (Lawrence of Arabia), the range of movement of the fountain is continuous as it responds to the smooth passages of music. Other jets pulse rapidly and can recg as high as 240 feet.
Given the wide range of musical scores and fountain choreography, you're very unlikely to see the same display more than once.
