Minneapolis Heating and Cooling Contractors- Fewer Calls Due To Mild Weather A Cause For Concern

Hvac Contractor In Las Vegas NvMinneapolis heating, ventilation and cooling companies or HVAC, have experienced a decline in the number of calls for Air Conditioner service and installation over the last few years. This is due, in my opinion, to the cooling of the market and the mild summer that we have experienced this year.

Over the last few years, Minneapolis Heating and Cooling Contractors have experienced a significant decline in the new starts. This has been seen by contractors in New York, NY, Dallas, TX, Las Vegas, NV and pretty much everywhere in the United States. This decline in new starts has led to a decrease in work across the HVAC industry.

The other contributing factor is the mild summer that Minneapolis, and many areas for that matter, has seen this year. With fewer above 90 degree days, air conditioners are taxed to a lesser degree than days when they are running non-stop in an attempt to keep a home cool.

While heating and cooling contractors still receive calls for breakdowns due to poor maintenance and age of the units, they have had to go out and actually put marketing efforts in place to help offset the decline in business. In fact, many local, Minneapolis based companies have had to reduce staff to accommodate the decline in business seen over the last few years.

While most of the people I have spoken to about the weather enjoy the break from the 90 plus degree weather that Minneapolis endures each summer and the humidity that most seem to dislike even more than the heat, Minneapolis is due for a spike in the temperature this weekend according to the fine weather staff over at the Star Tribune.

It is pretty rare for most Minnesota cities to get temperatures into the 90's this late in the season but for the kids who are getting ready to begin another year of school in just a few weeks, and that have access to a local pool or lake, this weather will be welcomed I am sure.

For those of us who pay the heating and cooling bills in Minneapolis- Maybe not so much.
